Who We Are
Cirrus Design Build is a multi-generational, family-owned company. Our company’s founders have enjoyed a rich history in the residential construction business for over 25 years.
Early on we saw a demand in the residential market for better-quality construction. Our commercial experience enables us to meet this demand. Our homes use reinforced concrete, structural steel, engineered lumber, and the best finish materials. We achieve the highest standards for all stages of construction with rigid quality control and assurance.
Our founders’ residential portfolios span a multitude of architectural styles and unique projects, from traditional to ultra-modern. Our success hinges on our formal education and over 50 years of combined experience. We are proud to design and build homes that will last for generations to come.
Our Philosophy
We don’t believe in mass production. We believe the greatest quality build is a culmination of many correct details. We scrutinize every aspect of construction including material selection, assembly methods, and the sequence of construction activities. We believe that quality control is achieved through detailed planning and hands-on management.
The perfect home starts with an ideal site, and an evaluation of the client’s lifestyle and needs. To secure our clients’ investment, we consider other aspects including accessibility to roads, checking for flood zones, school districts, ranking neighborhood amenities, and potential growth in real estate value, all prior to beginning design work.
Frank Hojjat
Co-founder & CEO
Frank began his career in commercial construction with a Master of Science in Construction Management and a Bachelor of Science in Civil-Structural Engineering from the University of Florida. Throughout his 15-year commercial career, he has overseen the most demanding construction projects including high-rise buildings, professional sports stadiums, and mail processing plants, among many others. Frank also served on executive teams for the nation’s largest commercial construction firms.
In 1995, Frank translated his commercial success into residential excellence. Over the past 25 years, Frank has worked on many unique projects in the luxury residential market, including some that were featured in Luxe and Design & Architecture magazines.
In 2006, he was recognized by Sandow Media as the “Leading Custom Home Builder” for the state of Illinois. Frank has a passion for designing and constructing the most prestigious and complex luxury homes.
Mike Hojjat
Co-founder & COO
Mike graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from Purdue University. Building homes was an enormous part of Mike’s upbringing. He worked in residential construction in various positions, starting with over five years of field work. He quickly rose into management and now has over ten years of executive experience.
Mike’s expertise lies in pre-construction planning activities including market research, site evaluation, coordinating preliminary and final design, project scheduling, and resource procurement. His technical background is vital to daily construction operations.
